Terms of service

Terms of Service

Plain language, on purpose. These are the rules that sit under sunayla.com and everything you can buy, read or do on it.

1. Who you are dealing with

This shop is run by Sunayla. Where you read we, us or our below, that is who is meant. Where you read you, that is whoever is browsing, ordering or otherwise using the site.

2. Saying yes to these rules

Browsing the site or buying from it means you accept what is written here, together with the policies linked from it — our Returns and Refunds Policy, our Shipping and Delivery Policy and our Privacy Policy. Those documents form part of this agreement. If any of it does not sit right with you, please do not use the site.

3. Who may order

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. You also confirm that nobody under that age is using your details to order.

4. How the site may be used

Use it to shop, to read, to ask us things. Do not use it to break a law, to encourage anyone else to break one, to harass or defame another person, to lift our artwork or text for your own commerce, to feed malicious code into the site, or to poke at its security. Any of those ends your access on the spot.

5. Photographs, colour and what arrives

We photograph every Edition as honestly as we can and match the print to what is shown. Screens still differ from one another, and no display is a perfect promise of colour. If a pair arrives looking meaningfully unlike its photographs, that is a conversation we want to have — see the Returns and Refunds Policy.

6. Prices

Prices are in US dollars and can change without warning. The price attached to your order is the one shown when you complete checkout. We carry no liability toward you, or toward anyone else, for a price that shifts after that point, in either direction.

7. Orders we may decline

We may refuse or cancel an order, and we may cap how many pairs go to one person, one household or one address. If we cancel something you have paid for, you get your money back — whole.

8. The details you give us

Please keep your name, email and delivery address current and correct. Boots are made and sent using exactly what you type in.

9. Made after you order

Each pair is produced once your order is placed rather than picked from stock. That shapes cancellation and returns, and the Returns and Refunds Policy sets out the windows, the routes and the timings in detail. Read it before you buy, not after.

10. Anything you send us

Ideas, suggestions, photographs of your boots, competition entries — if you send them to us by any route, we may use, edit, publish or share them without owing you payment. We are never obliged to keep such material private, to hold on to it, or to reply.

11. Our artwork and our words

The illustrations on our boots, the photography, the names of the Editions and the writing across this site belong to us. Enjoy them, share a link, tell a friend. Do not reproduce or sell them without written permission.

12. Links that lead elsewhere

Some links take you off our site. What happens on someone else's website is theirs to answer for, not ours, and a link is not an endorsement. Complaints about a third party belong with that third party.

13. Slips on the page

Now and then a typo, an outdated line or a missing detail makes it onto the site — in a description, a price, an offer or a delivery estimate. We may correct it at any time, update the page, and where necessary cancel an affected order. No advance notice is promised.

14. What we do not promise

The site is offered as it stands. We do not warrant that it will run without interruption, that every page will load, or that it will be free of every error. We may take it offline for a while, or stop offering part of it, without telling you first.

15. Where liability stops

To the fullest extent the law permits, neither Sunayla nor the people who work with us — staff, suppliers, contractors, service providers — carry liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss connected with the site or with anything bought from it. Nothing here removes a right the law where you live gives you and will not let you sign away.

16. Covering our costs

If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these rules or broke the law, you agree to cover what that costs us to defend and settle.

17. If one clause fails

Should a court find any part of this unenforceable, that part is trimmed out and the rest stands.

18. Ending it

This agreement runs until either side ends it. You end it by no longer using the site. We may end it if you break these rules, and obligations already incurred by either of us survive.

19. The whole of it

These terms, plus the policies linked from them, are the complete agreement between us about the site, and they replace anything discussed beforehand. If we do not enforce a clause on one occasion, we have not given it up.

20. Which law applies

United States law governs this agreement. Consumer rights granted to you by the country you live in are unaffected.

21. Changes here

The current version always lives on this page. We may revise it by posting an update, so it is worth a glance now and then. Carrying on with the site after a change means you accept the new version.

22. Questions

Anything about these terms goes to cs@sunayla.com, and a person will answer.
