Ayla is Turkish for the ring of light around the moon. Put it beside sun and you have a whole day in one word: bright in the morning, quieter by evening, the same woman either way. We draw both halves onto the boot, because you are not one of them on Tuesday and the other on Saturday. You are both, all week.
