Description
A heavy-lidded sun sitting in the middle of a gold dreamcatcher, on deep teal.
The sun keeps its eyes down
That is the bit worth looking at twice. Inside the braided gold hoop there is a face (a proper drawn face, with a nose and a mouth and both lids hanging heavy), and the rays come off it all the way round. A fine web is strung across the hoop behind it with small amber and turquoise beads caught in the strands, and feathers hang below on their own threads, cream and gold and a soft blush-copper. It is a sun that cannot be bothered to look up, on a shoe you put on to go out in the morning, which is a joke the design is making on purpose.
The other shoe lets the feathers go
No hoop on that one. Just feathers hanging on beaded cords, turquoise and amber running down each thread, with a gold star strung on one of them. Behind the lot of it, on both shoes, the teal carries a mandala printed a half tone deeper (big lace medallions spreading over the side panels, round the back, and on under the artwork itself), and gold four-pointed stars and small gold dots are scattered over the whole thing, the way they are across a sky you actually looked up at.
Sizes, and when they are made
US 4.5 to 14, every half size on the list. Whatever number you say out loud when somebody asks your size: that number is there, as itself, not rounded to the nearest one we felt like making. And nothing is built in advance: your pair, five to ten working days in the making, is printed and assembled once the order arrives. Come back for this design in three months and it will still be here, in your size, because none of it was ever waiting to be sold to somebody else first.
- White
- A white sole ruled once round its edge in black, laces in white, and the toe rubber white as well. The teal goes bright and oceanic against it, and the gold reads like light on water.
- Black
- Black all the way under: sole, laces, the rubber across the front. The teal drops toward the deep end and the gold is the only thing left doing any talking.
- Both
- Silver eyelets, same drawing, same teal.
Shipping
Nothing waits in a box for you. Each pair gets printed, cut and assembled after you order, so two timers run back to back.
Building your pair: 5 to 10 business days at the workshop.
Delivery, from the day it ships:
- United States: 7 to 15 business days
- United Kingdom: 10 to 18 business days
- Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the EU: 10 to 20 business days
- Everywhere else: 15 to 25 business days
Most pairs land two to five weeks after checkout. Dressing for a date? Leave room.
What it costs: $14.99 for the first pair inside the United States, $16.99 to Canada, $14.99 everywhere else we ship. Every further pair on the same order adds $9.99, so two pairs to a US address ship for $24.98. Socks post on their own at $4.99 a pair and tote bags at $6.99 each, the same price everywhere and whether or not boots travel with them. The figure appears at checkout once you enter an address, and nothing is added after you pay.
A tracking number lands in your inbox the moment the box leaves. Once a parcel crosses a border, import duty or tax may be charged on arrival by the customs office in the destination country.
Wrong size on arrival? One size exchange with every order. It can move you two sizes at most, and the clock runs 30 days from delivery. What changes is who pays the freight: orders carrying Return & Exchange Protection send the pair back and the replacement out at our cost, and orders without it are billed for those two shipments. Questions, answered
Sole colour, sizes, and the rest
Straight answers before you choose a size. The full run and the measuring guide live on the Size Chart. Anything else, email cs@sunayla.com; a person reads it.
What sizes do these come in?
US 4.5 to 14, every half size, twenty sizes in all. Order by the size your foot measures rather than the size you usually buy: the run and the measuring guide live on the Size Chart.
White sole or black?
Both, on every design. Pick under Sole Color before you add to cart. The print on the upper is the same either way, so the choice is only about what the sole does underneath it.
Is there a wide fit on the sneakers?
Not on this line. The Wide fit is built into the Leather Boots, where every size comes in Standard and Wide and Wide runs 13 mm bigger around the foot. If room across the ball of the foot is the thing you need most, start there.
Will my size sell out?
No. Every pair is printed, cut and assembled after you order, so there is no shelf for a size to run out of and no half size that quietly disappears. What that buys you is availability, not speed: the workshop still needs its 5 to 10 business days.
How long until they are on my feet?
Your pair is made after you order: 5 to 10 business days at the workshop, then the journey. Inside the United States that journey runs 7 to 15 business days, the United Kingdom 10 to 18, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the EU 10 to 20, everywhere else 15 to 25. Most pairs land two to five weeks after checkout, and the Shipping tab above carries the same table.
What does shipping cost?
The first pair carries the charge and every further pair on the same order adds $9.99. Inside the United States that is $14.99 for one pair and $24.98 for two. Canada opens at $16.99, and everywhere else we ship opens at $14.99. Socks post on their own at $4.99 a pair, tote bags at $6.99 each, the same price everywhere. The figure appears at checkout once you enter an address.
What if the size is wrong when they arrive?
You get one size exchange on the order. It can move you two sizes at most from the number you first chose, and the clock runs 30 days from the day the box arrives. What changes is who pays the freight: an order carrying Return & Exchange Protection sends the pair back and the replacement out at our cost, an order without it is billed for those two shipments. Details on the Return & Refund page.
Is there a matching pair of socks or a tote?
Yes. The same ten designs run across socks and tote bags, so the drawing on your sneakers has a match in both. Socks post at $4.99 a pair and tote bags at $6.99 each, the same price everywhere and whether or not boots travel with them.
