Description
A dreamcatcher is a circle with long things hanging off it. A leg is about the only part of you shaped to take that properly.
The circle comes first
It is big enough that the drawing makes its point before anyone looks further along. Three things inside it, in order:
- The rope: the circle is drawn as twisted gold cord, the twist picked out strand by strand rather than suggested.
- The web, gold thread finer than a hair, thrown across the circle in loop after loop, with a bead set at every junction: turquoise, rust, turquoise, rust.
- The face: a gold sun in the middle of the web, brows and nose and mouth all drawn in, lids down rather than up, wavy rays running right around the disc.
Then the feathers take the rest of it
They drop from the underside of the circle, each on its own beaded thread, and the longest runs on down past the heel. Washed rather than inked: gold at the quill, blushing warmer toward the end of the vane, and no two cut to the same length, so the whole run leans. Small gold stars fill what is left between them, and the ends of them are still going when the trouser leg stops.
The second sock cut the circle out
That one has no circle at all, no sun, no web. Just feathers coming down on beaded threads across open teal, sparks scattered around them, and the same lace medallions sunk into the teal behind them. It is the same drawing with the structure removed, and standing side by side the pair reads as a before and an after.
The teal, the black and the one size
The teal goes almost to black at any distance, and set into it one tone down are lace medallions, up the leg and round the back where nobody is going to see them. Black at the toe, black at the heel. Sizing has exactly one entry: women's.
Nothing gets run off before an order exists. Count five to ten working days, then it is gone from here. Which is why this design will not have vanished by the time you come back, and why the pair posted out belongs to one order only.
Shipping
