Wide fit leather boots
Your feet changed. Your style didn't.
Original boho art boots with about half an inch more room around the ball, arch and top of your foot. Same length you already wear, so you can stop buying a size up.
What changes
What a boot cut for your foot gives you back
01 · Room
Room where your foot is widest
Wide opens up the ball (the widest part), the arch and the top of your foot, where a broad forefoot needs room. Your length stays the same.
How: about half an inch (0.51 in) more around the ball, arch and top of the foot, and about a fifth of an inch (0.2 in) more straight across. Measured on the foot-shaped form the boot is built over.
02 · Support
A steel shank in the sole, under your arch
A steel shank in the sole keeps the middle of the boot firm. It resists bending and twisting as you step. Plus a low block heel that sits flat and a chunky gum sole with deep tread.
How: steel shank in the sole, sole bonded under heat and pressure.
03 · Comfort
Comfort that starts with the fit
Room at the front, in your usual length, so there is no extra boot to slide around in. Laces snug at the ankle and roomy at the toes. Market, lunch, the long way home.
Wear your own insert? The insole lifts out, so you can swap in yours.
04 · Joy
Art you'll want to wear, on a boot that fits
Ten original designs, printed across the boot. Sun and moon, lotus, sunflowers, dreamcatchers. Nobody has to know you chose them for the fit.
The boot itself is Premium Microfiber Leather: soft, man-made, and made to hold printed art.
Not beige. Not black. Not boring.

Sound familiar?
Somewhere along the way, pretty boots stopped fitting.
It isn't you. Over the years many women's feet spread wider, and many boots on the shelf never caught up.
- Fine at breakfast, pinching by lunch. Your feet are bigger by afternoon.
- A size up for width, then the heel slips. Longer is not wider.
- Wide that isn't wide. The box says W. Your little toe disagrees.
- Comfortable or pretty, pick one. Too often the pairs that fit come in black, brown and beige.
- You stopped trying them on. Too many pairs went back in the box.
That was the finding in one study of 176 adults. Women's shoes missed by more than men's.

Quoted word for word from public reviews and a public forum, none about Sunayla. These women have not bought from us.
So we cut a second foot-shaped form for the boot, wider where it counts. Here is exactly how.
How Wide works
Wide, in real numbers. Not a bigger size with a new name.
"Wide" stopped meaning much a long time ago, so here is what ours adds, measured on the form the boot is built over. Same length, same toe height. The extra goes around your foot.
| At US 8 | Standard | Wide | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Around the ball | 9.29 in | 9.80 in | +0.51 in |
| Around the arch | 9.33 in | 9.84 in | +0.51 in |
| Over the instep (top of foot) | 9.49 in | 10.00 in | +0.51 in |
| Across the ball | 3.43 in | 3.62 in | about +0.2 in |
| Length | same | same | no change |
| Toe height | 1.22 in | 1.22 in | same |
Order the size you measure, not a size up. If you've been buying longer to get room, come back down and choose Wide. Full figures for US 5.5 to 14 in the Wide Fit Guide
These are measurements of the boot form, not of a foot, so don't match your foot to them. Not sure where you land? Measure around the ball of your foot toward evening, then email us the number at cs@sunayla.com. We'll tell you which size to order.

Questions before you order
Before you choose
Do I order my usual size?
Yes. Wide is the same length as Standard in every size. The extra is all around your foot. If you've been buying a size up for room, go back to the size you measure.
Will Wide feel loose at the heel?
Wide opens the heel a little too, but by less than the forefoot. The length stays the same, and the laces let you snug the ankle. If your heel lifts, tell us: your size exchange is there for that.
What width letter is it? D? EE?
We don't use letters, because one brand's D is another brand's EE. We publish the real measurements instead. At US 8, Wide measures 9.80 in around the ball of the foot, against 9.29 in for Standard.
I have a bunion. Is there room for it?
Wide adds its room around the ball of the foot, where a bunion usually sits: about half an inch more around the ball and about a fifth of an inch more across. How your own foot feels isn't something we can promise from here, so measure both feet toward evening and send both numbers our way at cs@sunayla.com. We'll tell you straight.
Is there a zip?
No, it's a lace-up. Loosen the laces, slip your foot in and use the pull loop on the heel. Lacing is what lets you keep the toes roomy and the ankle snug in the same boot.
Can I wear my own insert?
Yes. The insole lifts out, so you can swap in one you already trust. A thick insert takes up room, so if yours is bulky, email us before you order.
Do these look like comfort shoes?
They look like what they are: original art boots. The Wide cut is in the shape, and the print is what you see.
What are they made of?
The outside of the boot is Premium Microfiber Leather: soft, man-made, and made to take printed art. Inside the sole is a steel shank, and the gum sole is bonded on under heat and pressure.
